DINING in BURKE

Local Foods

Throughout Vermont, we treasure our agricultural heritage and working farms and as much as possible we include the foods they produce on our kitchen tables.  The Burke area is home to many farmers and food producers who make everything from salad dressing to beer.  The Lyndonville Farmers' market has a winter and summer market so you can purchase local produce and specialty foods all year long.  It's also a wonderful chance to connect with neighbors and meet local farmers.  A visit to one of our farms is a must do for your Vermont vacation and also a chance to purchase eggs fresh from the chicken, grass fed beef, or just meet some goats, pigs, or cows.  Just be sure to call ahead first to let them know you're coming.
