 Kids 15 and under are welcome to join us for dinner and a movie on Friday nights starting 1/10 from 7-10 pm. This is the perfect chance for parents to enjoy an evening to themselves!

Pick Up: 10 pm (sharp!) pick up can be earlier, in Witherell.

$25 for kids fifteen and under includes pizza dinner, veggies sticks, dessert, and drinks.

Two movie choices will be announced day of and voted on by the kids! The winner gets watched.

Men's and Women's clinics will be separated by gender and will focus on two different levels per lesson. Skiers and riders will learn to face their fears while progressing their skills on the slopes like embracing the fall line, conquering a variety of moguls, surviving and acing trees, and generally pushing your comfort zone so you confidently can hone and progress your skills.

 5pm-7pm Base Lodge Sledding. $5/sledder + (If needed) $5 sled rental, $5 helmet rental. Sledders may bring their own sleds and helmets. Helmets are required at all times. If anyone is bringing their own sled, please make sure it doesn't have any metal. No tubes allowed.

Wildlife Habitat on the NorthWoods Ski Trails

 Cost: $10 (includes trail use for the entire day)
Who’s making tracks on our fresh trails? While the NorthWoods trails are groomed for skiers and snowshoers, the surrounding forest is home to a variety of wild animals. On this guided tour of the newly-reopened Echo Lake Trail, we will visit forests and fields that have been intentionally managed to improve wildlife habitat. From bear-scarred beech trees to vernal pools to hayfield edges to timber harvesting with birds in mind, learn how NorthWoods and neighboring landowners have made the forest a better home for native wildlife.
This will be an intermediate-advanced tour, covering ~7.5 kilometers of groomed trails with substantial climbs and descents, best suited to experienced cross-country skiers and athletic snowshoers. Please come prepared with appropriate clothing, water, and food. Bring your bag lunch for an informal discussion afterward in the NorthWoods lodge, or spend the afternoon exploring the trails on your own!
Rental skis/snowshoes available; please contact us to reserve yours ahead of time. Presented in partnership with our neighboring landowners, the Vermont Land Trust, Vermont Coverts, and the Orleans County Forester.

Thursday Night Trivia Fiesta

 Gather your friends and join us every Thursday evening for a night of Trivia, yummy Mexican specials prepared by Chef Travis and Sierra Nevada beer specials all in the View Pub. Food & Beer specials start at 5:30 pm, and Trivia at 6:30pm!

 

FREE entry for teams of up to 4 who will test their knowledge on a range of topics from local history to geography to music and more while enjoying drink specials from Sierra Nevada and competing for weekly prizes.

Participants in 6 or more trivia nights throughout the season will be eligible to enter our grand prize raffle in March!

Kids Dinner & Movie

 Kids 15 and under are welcome to join us for dinner and a movie on Friday nights starting 1/10 from 7-10 pm. This is the perfect chance for parents to enjoy an evening to themselves!

Drop Off: 7 pm, Burke Hotel Witherell Room, in the West wing, off of the Day Lodge.

Pick Up: 10 pm (sharp!) pick up can be earlier, in Witherell.

$25 for kids fifteen and under includes pizza dinner, veggies sticks, dessert, and drinks.

Two movie choices will be announced day of and voted on by the kids! The winner gets watched.

Womens Small Group Training

Small group training is a group of 3 to 9 individuals who all have the same relative goals. The group members all follow the same training program. The programs consist of cardiovascular, strength, and metabolic conditioning. The program is not individualized as compared to personal training, semi-private, or buddy training. This is the more cost-effective option for individuals who are looking for a structured exercise program without the cost of personal training. Training times are at the individual and trainer’s discretion.

Annual Benefit Auction

 The Thaddeus Stevens School Annual Benefit Auction is an essential fundraising event for one of the area's most important independent schools. We believe education is transformative for everyone, and work hard to provide financial assistance for families who wish to provide opportunities for their children.

All proceeds provide support for our school's financial aid program.

Join us for the live and silent auction, as well as raffles, door prizes, and games. We will also offer a cash bar and hors d'oeuvres.

Burke Base Lodge Sledding

 5pm-7pm Base Lodge Sledding. $5/sledder + (If needed) $5 sled rental, $5 helmet rental. Sledders may bring their own sleds and helmets. Helmets are required at all times. If anyone is bringing their own sled, please make sure it doesn't have any metal. No tubes allowed.

 Kingdom Adventures Mountain Guides is proud to serve as the sponsor and instructional provider of SOLO wilderness medicine courses in Northern Vermont.  The two-day Wilderness First Aid (WFA) course is SOLO's most popular creating a solid foundation in the basics of backcountry medical care. Initially offered in 1975, this course was the first of its kind in the United States, and it is the curriculum upon which all other backcountry medicine courses are based. SOLO CPR certification is included as a part of all WFA courses. This is a great course for mountain bikers, hikers, climbers, backpackers, backcountry skiers and other outdoor enthusiasts who venture out for day and weekend
