Winter is ski season around here with 2,011 feet of vertical and over 178 acres of fun at Burke Mountain! Burke is also home to Burke Mountain Academy which has groomed many Olympic Skiers. We’re casual and laid back around here, though. The slopes of Burke are known for being uncrowded and unpretentious. Kingdom Trails also maintains groomed Nordic trails and even has trails for the newest sport, Winter Biking! For snowmobilers, we’ve got miles and miles of groomed trails to explore past villages, farmland and old logging roads.
In Spring, we’re tapping trees and breaking out the fishing rods. Come March, a sweet scent fills the air and smoke begins to rise from the sugarhouses. Be sure to stop into one and maybe get a sample of liquid gold.
