Burke, VT - Nestled in the valley of the Northeast Kingdom, Burke Mountain Academy is the oldest sports academy in the country.
"We're a school that's based on passion," Headmaster Kirk Dwyer says. "Kids come here because they have a passion for something. If you can find something that kids really care about, you are likely to see them have success."
Success is an understatement. Since it was founded in 1970, 130 BMA products have joined national ski teams, and more impressively, over 30 have competed in the Olympics.
